An intentionally ambitious brief

With the family’s approval, the project became a five-figure enthusiast system with flagship hardware, a custom-painted enclosure, extensive component cooling, hard-line tubing, multiple pumps and radiators, monitoring, and elaborate visual detail.

Every decision still had to respect power, heat, compatibility, serviceability, and the maintenance the finished machine would require.

The machine

The finished system was spectacular, extremely substantial, and successful on its own terms: a technical and visual showpiece built around an intentionally no-compromise brief.

Its details reflected the client’s personality without abandoning sound engineering.

The better result came later

Two years later, the client selected the parts and built his next system almost entirely on his own, needing only limited guidance.

The most durable outcome was not merely delivering an extraordinary computer. It was turning enthusiasm into understanding and participation.
